here goes one from last night..
it might just be the last rework/remix of
How Far Are You Willing To Go
if you haven't been checking out the tracks i've been doing lately
...you wouldn't have noticed the drift into idm territory.....
just during the reworks of How Far Are You Willing To Go.
there's like 3 of them now....
this track is based off of the original sample for how far are you willing to go.
but i nixed it for the first version... i felt with less the track said more....
now with the original sample back and the rest of the original track omitted
check it out
right now i'm in the middle of revamping the studio for personal projects
as well as group projects. i want the sound of this stuff to be as close to
professional quality audio as possible... so this is some B-tweener stuff/
there are so many factors in building the proper production setup/environment
or what i believe that to be at the time.
i just got inspired by this record i heard earlier.
it was by Andre's Michelle
i don't Know of the track name but i do know it's on drop out recordings.
everything on the label just notates who the tracks are by
and what kind of mix their tracks are....
A2 is the original @ 33rpm
but the one that i really dig is :
B1 -Erik Vee's Fresh R-Mixx @ 45 rpm
also the pic of the DAT Tape on the 12"
really made me wish i had my old DAT machine
so i'm getting a new portable DAT machine.
I still have a bunch of tapes so it'll do for a while...
it's also pretty lossless. for the form of tape...
my cat has been str8-up eating the heads off of squirrels lately
IDEAS FOR SEASONAL GIFTING
Jameson Triple Distilled Irish Whisky
(classy holiday gift set )
(comes with glasses so you don't got to drink out the bottle)
also makes getting through the holidays much easier....
if you came here for music
and not complete bull spit.....
check out the post below...
it's got a song with samples from soul records
a new opinion of warp records..... in list form....
the releases i do dig that are house, or not. sound like nostalgia music.... i have heard stuff with old hardware that's all analog(or mostly) that's pretty forward thinking, but not at warp anymore....
if i need the new HIT OF THE MINUTE i can get it at warp mart. blog house is on vinyl nowadays
there's this stuff classified as dubstep..... but i don't see it there. it's just pussified break beats.. with glimpses of trance music.... there's no grime to it... and not much of a dub sound.... and it's not really danceable... it's either junkie music for those who wish to dance but are too smacked out. or it's for some hippies wearing new-era caps in a bar trying to act like ballers in front of girls who like dudes that don't shave and have bad haircuts or no haircuts at all.
finished these last night.
i discovered that what recording method works for one song
may not work for the other... everything is different.
every song/situation/day is different from the last....
no matter what, methods you're used to will be uprooted
and you'll be forced to figure things out yourself to make things work
i'm starting to figure out how my stereo/monitors/pa/laptop/car stereo
sound relative to each other... every recording i make from here on out
should have no option but to increase in quality.
i'm pleased with these tracks and the quality
they are a bit long... but worth the listening time.
it's been like a day or so since i recorded this one....
i didn't know how to feel about it or it's quality on the first re-listening.
but then it became apparent what was going on with the track....
there's LOTS of delay on this ......
so if you like your audio wet......
this is a piece of fluorite that this one fellow broke and then lied to me about....this dude also taught me how to do basic things on the mpc like saving and loading sounds.. but that's all the help i've had since then..... there are other opinions applying to aesthetic
that i try to listen to .... but i gotta do every thing the hard way i guess... i'll just keep doing it the hard way until it becomes easy...
like breathing or something....
i've been doing alot lately to improve the sound quality of my tracks
as much as i can at the moment anyway.... alot of the noise came from
sending the signal so far... now there are a few less feet of cables on the recording
equipment and i send the signal straight to the computer....
also trying to boost the signal as loud as i can with out the dist. effect/clipping
if i can remember to... i also put it on cassette tape for the hell of it.
there are dimensions that digital just cant pick up on.
I quit smoking cigarettes about 3weeks ago...
and still have dreams in which i still heavily smoke.
..going to be a bit reclusive for awhile
until i can really break this addiction
but i've got this one track here...
well maybe two... but i'll find the right time to drop the second one.
i just found this here tape in my car.
it's got a few good tunes on it.
so i thought i'd share them with you.
since it takes time to transfer and re-master the tunes
i'll be giving them up alongside new tracks
